GYMNASTICS: Saturday club springs back into action
YOUNGSTERS aged between five and 13 have been springing back into action in Weymouth.
The Wey Valley Saturday Recreational Gymnastics Club is currently in its 17th year, and proving as popular as ever with children from all around the area taking part.
The 14-week term based at the Wey Valley Sports Hall got under way earlier this month and organiser Don Whistance is delighted with the way it is going.
The South Dorset sports coach said: “Any parents who are interested in their children developing recreational gymnastic skills, fitness, body awareness, and self and group discipline, as well as having a sense of achievement, social well-being and fun are urged to enrol straight away as the course has become the most popular recreational gymnastics club in Weymouth.”
The sessions take place every Saturday morning from 10.30am-1pm and further information can be obtained at whistancesports. com
The new website is currently being devised to help children and parents know exactly what sporting opportunities are available to them in the local area.
The club can also be contacted on 813237 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
