THREE members of the Bustinskin Triathlon club in Weymouth successfully completed the Ironman Wales in Tenby.
The event consisted of a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride followed by a 26.2-mile run and competitors had up to 17 hours to complete the course.
This was the first Ironman for all three members.
Clint Cornick, had a fantastic swim coming in exactly on the hour mark, but suffered a setback on the bike course after a malfunction with his bike and had to wait over an hour for an event mechanic before completing the course.
In the first few miles of the bike course, Steve Chubb was the victim of two competitors crashing in front of him and was unable to stop in time.
The crash caused him to have two fractured ribs, however, he continued to finish the race.
Club and race director of Bustinskin Events, Mark Steen said: “I am extremely pleased and proud of the achievements of the three club members and all their hard work and training had really paid off.”
