A FITNESS centre in Weymouth is set to welcome in a new era after undergoing its very own makeover.

After 17 years under New Look ownership, the facility on Mercery Road is now fully independent and open to the general public under the new name of Mission Fitness.

The centre boasts a large, fully equipped gymnasium and also includes a sauna, steam room, treatment room and nail bar.

Mission Fitness manager Mark Kinder, who has worked in the industry for 23 years, told Echosport: “I originally set up and ran the fitness centre as a service for New Look employees, but now those excellent health and fitness facilities have been upgraded and are available to everyone.”

The team at Mission Fitness also includes personal trainer Charmaine Bates and Becky Masters, another instructor and fully-trained massage therapist. The centre is open seven days a week and also runs many classes including Power Half Hour, Abs Express, Boxercise and Insane.

Kinder added: “Next Saturday we will be holding an open day with complimentary bubbly and canapés from 10am-4pm.

“Not only will visitors get the opportunity to check out the facilities and the centre’s brand new interactive music, information and vision system, but they will also be able to enter a prizegiveaway with the chance to win an Amazon Kindle Fire and Mission Fitness Beauty treatments.”
