TERRAS: Weymouth squad lifted by Kyle Critchell visit
KYLE Critchell is making steady progress in his recovery from sepsis and has even found time to pay a visit to his team-mates at the Bob Lucas Stadium.
The illness left the popular Weymouth ace fighting for his life last month and seeing him up and about again was an uplifting moment for the entire squad.
Boss Brendon King told Echosport: “Kyle came down to training and said hello to the boys, and it was great to see him.
“He has lost a lot of weight and is still very much getting back on his feet. “He is still off work and it is going to take a little while before he can do anything.
“One can only imagine what he has been through and all we hope now is that he gets better as soon as possible.”
King went on to confirm that Critchell is set to undergo another hip operation in the coming weeks and also gave Echosport an update on midfielder Jamie Skinner, who is still receiving treatment on his injured leg.
He added: “Jamie has got a new job (head of education) with Leicester City doing the same sort of thing he was doing at Exeter.
“He is now using the medical staff up there but wants to come down and let our physio Emma Tonkin see it through with his knee.
“We are expecting to see him down here next in a couple of weeks.”
