TERRAS: King calls for improvement (Video)

‘MUST do better’ was the message from Brendon King following Saturday’s victory in the FA Trophy.
Stewart Yetton, was yet again the hero for the Terras in the 1-0 victory over lower league Bridgwater Town but the overall performance was uninspiring.
And with Conference outfit Braintree Town scheduled to visit the Bob Lucas Stadium in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup on Saturday, the Wey-mouth boss knows his men must improve.
King told Echosport: “We are through to the next round and we have earned the club a bit more money (£2,700) and that is the most important thing.
“However, we are going to have to do a lot better this week, there is no doubt about that.
“We had a bad week in terms of preparation what with the floodlight failure at Bashley in midweek, and I think that told a little bit.
“Also take nothing away from Bridgwater because they were not a bad side.
“They had only lost one game before Saturday in all competitions so we knew it was going to be difficult and so it proved.
“We lacked a little intensity in our play in the first half but we moved the ball a bit quicker at times in the second and just managed to get over the line.
“I have said it before, in cup games it is all about the result, so to come through 1-0 in the end was very pleasing.”
Looking ahead to the Braintree tie, King went on to add: “This is a massive week now.
“Next Saturday is going to be a battle and we need to step it up, and I fully expect the lads to do that.
“The performance at the weekend was probably a C in the report. But like my old school reports always used to say, we must do better.”
The draw for the second qualifying round of the FA Trophy will take place today.
Meanwhile, Yetton has been nominated for the FA Cup Player of the Round award for his two goals against Cirencester Town.
