SWIMMING: It's medley magic from Weymouth

WEYMOUTH Swimming Club held their annual Individual Medley Trophy Gala for all of their members.
The 10-and-under age groups competed in a 4x25m individual medley race, while the older swimmers took part over 4x50m.
The gala is an exciting event, giving all swimmers in the club a chance to compete against each other under ASA rules with official time keepers and referees.
Trophies were awarded to the fastest swimmer in each age group and medals to the top three. Rosettes were awarded to fourth, fifth and sixth places in the under-10 group.
A Championship Trophy and medals were also presented to the six fastest swimmers overall in the male and female 4x50m event.
The winners in each event were - Girls’ Under-10: Alasara James, Ellie Wilcox, Jaimee Browne Boys’ Under-10: Daniel Kingman, George Cartwright, Ben Kingsey Girls’ 11/12: Alice Adams, Charlotte Harris, Sophie Moore Girls’ 13/14: Bethany Carr, Amber Startin, Danielle Brunell Girls’ 15/16: Dani Condell, Chloe Calton, Kelly Allan Girls’ 17-and-over: Katie Paul Boys’ 11/12: Jacob Coombs, Ben Jacobs, Tyler Baker Boys’ 13/14: Nial Turner Boys’ 15/16: Aidan Turner Boys’ 17-and-over: Joshua Brunell, Scott Walden, Scott Sanders.

Weymouth Swimming Club also hosted the 76th anniversary of the Percy Sampson Perpetual Challenge Trophy for senior schools in the borough.
The trophy was won by Bud-mouth College, whose relay team consisted of Kirsty Holmes, Lea-nne Holmes, Nial Turner and Jack Dunne. The runners-up were Wey Valley School.
