TERRAS: Generals draw for King's men
THE Generals lie in wait for the Terras in the second qualifying round of the FA Trophy.
The trip to Chesham United on November 2 will have £3,250 riding on it and Brendon King is under no illusions about the size of the task.
The Weymouth boss, pictured, told Echosport: “It is an extremely tough draw because they are a very good side.
“They strengthened in the summer, particularly up front, and when we played them towards the end of last season I thought they were one of the best sides in the league.
“It’s also a fair old way for us to go again and, to be honest, we could have done with the game being at home, but it is what it is and we know we are a match for anyone on our day.
“Hopefully we can go there and put in a big performance.”
Chesham currently lie second in the Calor Southern Premier Division, 11 points above the Terras having played two games more.
King added: “To be honest they probably won’t like the draw either.
“They know we are a decent side too and that is why it should make for a good game.”
The Terras are in Red Insure Cup first round action tomorrow night at Cuthbury (7.45pm) where they face struggling Bashley.
The game has been switched to Wimborne Town’s ground after the initial meeting between the two sides had to be postponed last midweek due to floodlight failure.
