AARON Cook and Olympic bronze medallist Lutalo Muhammad remain on course to meet at the World Taekwondo Grand Prix in Manchester.
Dorchester-born Cook, 22, beat American two-time Olympic champion and five-time world gold medallist Steven Lopez 17-14 in the quarter finals of the -80kg division, while Muhammad overcame Turkey's former world champion Ridvan Baygut 8-5.
Muhammad was controversially selected for Great Britain ahead of then world number one Cook for London 2012.
As a result, Cook now represents the Isle of Man.
