UNAVAILABLE: Chris Luke is set to miss the clash with Bristol Manor Farm

TREVOR Senior is hoping the weather gods have a change of heart this weekend following three successive postponements.

Bridport last saw action on December 28 and there are fears they could be denied again this Saturday when they are scheduled to host Bristol Manor Farm.

The pitch at St Mary’s Field has been saturated in recent weeks and with more rain expected on Friday night, it could well be deemed unplayable once again.

Bees’ boss Senior said: “We desperately want it to be on but there is more rain forecast for later in the week, so it’s has to be in doubt.

“We will once again do everything we can because we haven’t played since December 28, which is almost a month now.

“The lads are getting frustrated more than anything but it is across the board.

“All the games in the league were wiped out last weekend and even on Tuesday the match between Gillingham Town and Sherborne Town had to be abandoned at half-time.

“We are fairly well up on our fixtures this season, which is good, but it is still frustrating.”

If Saturday’s game does go ahead, Senior is expecting a tough clash against Manor Farm, who currently sit third in the Toolstation Western Premier Division, having lost just four of their 25 games so far this season.

He added: “They were decent when we played them at their place earlier in the season.

“They had good movement up front and were 3-1 up at half-time.

“We then played much better in the second half but could only get back to 3-2.

“They have also added a couple of new signings since then, so we know it’s going to be tough.

“Hopefully, we can get something out of it.”

Ryan Dovell and Darren Watts are both set to return for the Bees but Chris Luke is unavailable.
