THE gulf in class between the top and the bottom of the Weymouth Sunday League Premiership was there for all to see as Bar 314 racked up double figures against Bakers Arms.

The league leaders ran riot in a 15-1 victory at St Osmund’s School and they could have had more.

Grant Chance led the way with five goals and there were also hat-tricks for Michael Stone and Ricky Lane.

Nick Paul, Andy Nott and Carl McClements, with two, completed the tally.

Bar 314 have now amassed 78 goals in 11 outings in the league where they now sit six points clear at the summit.

The only team likely to catch them are Aura, who are scheduled to face Bakers Arms this coming Sunday.

The Esplanade outfit are the only team to have beaten Bar 314 in league action this season but know they must win all their remaining games to stand any chance of overhauling them at the top of the table.

As for Bakers Arms, they remain bottom of the pile, four points adrift of fellow strugglers Market House having played two games more.

All the other games in the latest round of fixtures were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
