THE Dorchester Learning Centre was in top form when they entertained the Year Five boys from Dorchester Middle School during a football festival at Redlands.

The DLC pupils ran a skill-based indoor event during the first half of the morning and then followed it up with a mini tournament on the venue’s 3G pitch.

Levi Dailey, sports coordinator for the Dorchester Area Schools Partnership, said: “It’s always impressive watching pupils lead sports activities for other pupils.

“The terminology and enthusiasm the DLC boys spoke with to the younger DMS pupils was a pleasure to see.”

He went on to add: “It was a fun morning and all the Year Five boys from DMS would do it again in a heartbeat.

“If more schools would allow DLC students to come in and help run sports festivals and mini tournaments then the whole community in the DASP would profit from it.

“A special thank you must go to Dill Butcher, Grant Naylor and Andy Campbell-Bell because without them the festival would not have taken place.”
