HOLY Trinity Primary School are the South Dorset Indoor five-a-side champions after a 3-0 defeat of Wyke Regis in the final.

The squad, made up of captain Travis Reynolds, keeper Harry Rupp, Leo Young, Louie Gear, Ethan Clark, Ollie James and Archie Woolford added the title to their South Dorset seven-a-side crown.

Reynolds and his troops won two and drew one of their pool games before a Woolford hat-trick saw them over- come Wyke in the showpiece event.

Their victory came after the team had finished second behind Wyke in the Portland area finals.

Eight school sides took part in the South Dorset finals in all with Dorchester winners St Osmund’s Middle and area runners-up Bincombe Valley qualifying from the county town tournament.

Conifers and St John’s CE made it through after winning two separate Weymouth competitions, with respective runners-up Radipole and Southill also reaching the grand finals.

On their way to the final, Holy Trinity beat St Osmund’s Middle 5-0 and Southill 3-0 before drawing 2-2 against Conifers.

Meanwhile, Wyke saw off Bincombe Valley 3-0 and St John’s 3-1 then drew 1-1 with Radipole.

A big thank you went to Ben Heath of Weymouth College PE department, and his two referees, who co-ordinated the competition.
