PRINCE Devitt will headline tomorrow night’s Varsity Pro Wrestling event at Weymouth Pavilion.

The action-packed show has attracted wrestlers from all over the world and it promises to be a fantastic evening, with the doors set to open at 7pm.

International superstar The UK Kid and New Zealand’s rising talent Jay White will also be on the bill but it is Devitt who is expected to steal the show.

The 32-year-old Irishman, originally from Cork, now resides in Japan where he is currently working a full-time contract for New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Commenting on his forthcoming visit to Dorset, Devitt said: “I’ve never been to Weymouth but know of its rich wrestling history and it will be an honour to defend my crown against the best in the world.”

Varsity Pro Wrestling spokesman Tom Jones is also excited about the prospect of seeing Devitt in action. He added: “This guy has done everything in wrestling.

“He is a former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team champion, former IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion, Best of Super Jrs tournament winner and, recently, he defended one of his titles in the Tokyo Dome in front of 44,000 people.”

Tickets start at £10 and can be purchased direct from Weymouth Pavilion.
