Match fact: Basingstoke go into today's game against the Magpies having gone 342 minutes without scoring.

What are the chances of that being 432 by the end of it?

Skipper Mark Jermyn makes a sensational return to the Dorchester team after it was feared he might have missed the rest of the season following a hamstring injury against Chelmsford.

He comes in for the suspended Nick Crittenden.

It looks like he will play in midfield with Jamie Gleeson not fit, while Nathan and Steve Walker are set to partner each other at centre-half.

Clive Makoni gets a rare start up front alongside Elliott Chamberlain, with Warren Byerley also not fit to make the trip.

Two more youngsters in the shape of Sam Smith and keeper Shane Murphy get places on the bench.

Basingstoke Town: Wells, Rice, Green, Smart, Gasson, Ray, Daly, McAuley, Enver-Marum, Bignall, Soares.

Subs: Adams, Holder-Spooner, Matthews, Barrett, Jenkinson.

Magpies: Walker-Harris, Case, Smeeton, S Walker, N Walker, McCarthy, Jermyn, Lanahan, Chamberlain, Makoni, Losasso.

Subs: Way, Twyford, Munday, Smith, Murphy,

The Terras’ starting XI is once again unchanged, Scott Walker and Mark Ford return to the bench following their injury problems.

Terras:  Matthews, Wells, Green, Colwell, Hutchings, Richards, Kelly, Jagger-Cane, Yetton, Rigg, Vassell.

Subs: McConnell, M Walker, S Walker, Ford, Holland

Hitchin: Bell, Rolfe, Bickerstaff, Ann, Webb, Pearson, Smith, Donnelly, Martin, King, Jones

Subs: Lench, Wharton, Parker

It's really getting to that time of the season when the Magpies, if they have any chance of staying in the Skrill South, have to pick up something from their remaining games.

And, given that the majority of the games they have left are against sides in the bottom half of the table, they have to believe they can do that.

Today they face a side that haven't won in the last few themselves, but who beat the Magpies 4-0 earlier in the season.

Nick Crittenden, who has signed a new contract, misses out through suspension and with injury doubts over others it could be another tough afternoon.

TERRAS v HITCHIN TOWN match preview

Weymouth are looking to seal their fifth league win on the spin having defeated both Bashley and Burnham twice over the last two weeks, scoring ten goals and only conceding twice in their last four fixtures.

The last time these sides met was former Terras boss Brendon King’s last game in charge after Hitchin came from a goal down to win 3-2 back in December.

Manager Jason Matthews has named the same starting XI for the last three games and barring any late injuries, could do the same again.

Isaac Vassell has three goals in his last three outings for the Terras and in-form Stewart Yetton will be looking to add to his 22 goals in the league this afternoon.

Terras last time out:  Matthews, Wells, Green, Colwell, Hutchings, Richards, Kelly, Jagger-Cane, Yetton, Rigg, Vassell.

Subs: Poole, McClements, Sharpe, Holland, Walker.
