CHRIS Luke returns from suspension for Bridport tonight as the St Mary’s Field outfit try to put Saturday’s below-par performance against Winterbourne behind them.

While midfielder Luke is back in the fold for the visit of in-form Brislington (7.45pm), Max Buckler is unavailable due to work commitments.

That means the majority of the squad involved in the 2-1 defeat last weekend will have the chance to make up for that disappointment.

Following two wins and two draws in four consecutive away games, the Bees lost to a Winterbourne side that had won just once in their previous six.

“After four games away from home, to come back to St Mary’s Field against a side below us in the league, who were there for the taking, and not to win was disappointing,” said Senior. “I’m sure the lads will want to put it right tonight and they will be up for it.

“Chris Luke brings a lot of enthusiasm to the side and is an experienced head, and you do miss someone like that.”

He added: “At times we are just too nice.

“Teams at the top are there because they are consistently good and teams at the bottom are there because they are consistently poor.

“At the moment, we are in between the two. We can be good one game and poor the next, why I don’t know.

“When it clicks it looks good but if it doesn’t we don’t look so good.”

Brislington, ninth in the table, won the reverse fixture earlier in the season 2-1 thanks to a late goal.
