HAMWORTHY UNITED 8 PORTLAND TOWN 0

PORTLAND Town enjoyed a fun day out in their penultimate game of the season, but Hamworthy United eventually ran out comfortable winners.

With the islanders safe from relegation and unable to move up or down the table, it was decided to play players in different positions throughout the game.

Town fielded three different goalkeepers between the sticks and ended with defenders up front and forwards dropping back into defence.

In the end, the score really didn’t matter, though the visitors kept a clean sheet for the last 20 minutes while the Hamworthy United manager was screaming at his team to go on and take their tally into double figures.

The Town players were laughing and joking throughout the game and thoroughly enjoyed themselves on the day.

Portland play their last game in a fortnight, away to title favourites Bournemouth Poppies.
