WEYMOUTH Cricket Club are gearing up for the new season and have been hard at work preparing the facilities at Redlands in time for the start of their Dorset League campaign.
As part of the Natwest CricketForce scheme, Weymouth squad members gave their main score box a new lick of paint, and are planning to do more to improve the facilities this weekend.
Chairman John Ryan thanked the workforce that braved the conditions and turned out.
Away against Parley on the opening day, Weymouth’s first XI’s opening home game of the season is against Broadstone on May 10.
