BRIDPORT will again be without striker Ryan Dovell when they take on Street at St Mary’s Field today (3pm).

Dovell’s hamstring problem is also set to rule him out of the Bees’ trip to Gillingham Town on Monday and the penultimate game of the season against Hengrove Athletic.

However, boss Trevor Senior reckons he could be back for the final match of the campaign at Slimbridge.

Darren Watts is expected to be unavailable today through work, but Max Buckler returns after a groin injury.

The visit of fourth-placed Street will be Matt Condliffe’s last outing for Bridport this term, his three-match ban for a red card in the victory over Cadbury Heath rules him out of the run-in.

And Senior’s side have something of a score to settle with their Somerset opponents after an eventful clash in the previous meeting between the teams.

The Bees led that encounter 3-0 at one stage, only for Street to peg them back with three goals of their own to force a draw.

“We played them on Boxing Day and let a 3-0 lead slip as they came back in the second half to draw,” said Senior, whose men go in search of successive Toolstation Western League Premier Division wins.

“Whenever we’ve played them in the last two years they have been high scoring games.

“There are usually goals but that will probably mean it’s going to be 0-0.”

He continued: “I think they were expecting to challenge for the title this season, but they’ve still got some decent players.

“Mark Salter is always dangerous and has scored goals at a higher level, so he is someone we’ll have to watch.

“But we’ll be confident after winning at Radstock on Tuesday.”
