BAR 314’s bid for another clean sweep of trophies in the Weymouth Sunday League shows no signs of faltering.

Ricky Lane bagged a hat-trick as they hammered Alexandra 9-0 last weekend to reach the final of the Len Mahoney Cup.

There were also doubles for Chris Skinner and Phil Anderson, while Paul Myatt and Dan Ridd got on the scoresheet too.

The league champions will now meet Dolphin in the final after they saw off Aura 3-1 thanks to a Charlie May treble – Rory Zima scored Aura’s only goal.

The Les Hallett Cup final is to be between the Famous Old Spa and Britannia following triumphs over Moby Dick’s and Lazy Lizard respectively.

Aaron Sharp came off the bench to score twice for the Spa during their 5-2 success. Dean Taylor, Jamie Rawlins and Leon Attree got the others.

Not to be outdone in the scoring stakes, Britannia overcame the Lizard 8-3, with Jordy Bowler grabbing a hat-trick for the home side.

Chris Squibb netted a brace and Stu Burley, Adam Dell and Robert Squibb also hit the target.

A cracking tie took place at Redlands as the clash between Sailors Return and Bakers Arms went all the way to penalties.

The match had ended 4-4, with Darren Greening (2), Mark de la Haye and Steve Hillier contributing to the Bakers’ tally, before they held their nerve from the spot to win the shoot-out 3-1.

They now face Broadmayne in the final of the George Eley Cup after the latter’s 2-1 victory at Market House.

All three of the finals will be held at Grove Corner on Portland on May 11, starting at 10am.
