TEAM PRIZE: Moonfleet A with the Purbeck Trophy after their last-gasp win over Dorchester A
MOONFLEET Indoor Bowls Club have secured a number of awards for the club’s trophy cabinet, after their latest success at county level.
Top duo of Mike Gale and Martin Puckett were awarded their County Pairs Trophy from county president Terry Bucks, Puckett also scooped silverware in the County Singles competition as he finished runner-up to eventual winner Jim Garner.
There was also success at youth level as Moonfleet’s Ryan Nash claimed the County Under-18s Championship, after he defeated Anthony Hobby of Dolphin IBC in the final.
The Moonfleet A team also tasted success in a dramatic victory against Dorchester A, as they held their nerve to secure the Purbeck Trophy with the last shot in the last end of the contest.
