DORCHESTER Town Youth’s annual tournament was blessed with two glorious days of football and sunshine.
Teams from all over the south converged on Sandringham in the hope of winning a trophy.
And to cap a fine weekend for the county town club, the Raiders Under-9s beat Chesil Comets 2-0 to lift their section’s silverware.
The club’s Under-12 Raiders and Girls’ Under-15 Magpies also reached their respective finals.
Magpies’ spokesman Dave Read: “We would like to thank Dorchester Town Council for supplying the venue, and all the volunteers who fed and watered parents and children alike. “A special thank you to Keith Legg who organised the referees which made the day run very smoothly.”
