WEYMOUTH have announced their second signing in a week with the arrival of Lewis Blackmore from Bashley.

The winger, who can play on either flank, impressed when Bash visited the Bob Lucas Stadium to take on the Terras back in March sparking interest from boss Jason Matthews, who spoke to Echosport about his new recruit.

Commenting on the former AFC Bournemouth trainee’s ability, he said: “He is very keen, uses both feet and I feel that he can give us that little bit of pace that we lacked at times last season.

“He brought his ability to my attention when he played against us at home.

“He got injured in that game but he caused us a few problems and is definitely the sort of lad I am looking for to put in the squad.

“I am very pleased to have Lewis on board and there should also be some more experience coming into the club over the next week.”

Blackmore also comes to the Terras with international pedigree at youth level, having represented Wales Under-16s on seven occasions, scoring one goal.
