WEYMOUTH Ladies enter their first major tournament of the season today at the Ashcombe School in Dorking.
The team starts the competition as defending champions and expectations remain high that the club will be in contention to retain their title once again.
The event has attracted several of the top teams in the country, including London Polonia, Surrey Orcas and Ashcombe, all of whom are of National League Super Eight standard.
They will be joined by several Division One teams to make the tournament arguably the highest standard indoor event of the summer.
Weymouth travel at almost full strength, the only player missing will be Ramona Dienel who sustained two broken fingers competing in a beach tournament in Germany.
The outside attack role will be led by Marta Cerri, pictured, and Amy Weemes, while the middle will be controlled by Yuri Chadavadh and Angelika Sieriej.
Weymouth will have two setters on duty, Christina Meddedu and Nomeda, and with the option of either Celia Gregory or Renata Hurdokova at opposite attack the squad is evenly balanced.
Kirsty Fargher will occupy the defensive specialist libero role.
