CATTISTOCK v BEAMINSTER
BEAMINSTER will be boosted by the return of wicketkeeper-batsman Fred Everitt to the top of the order, as the Memorial Playing Field outfit face a tough test at league leaders Cattistock (1.30pm).
Former captain and all-rounder Will Everitt will also return to the squad, who currently occupy fifth spot in County Division Two.
Team manager Ross Baker told Echosport: “We should be a lot stronger this week, if not at full strength.
“Fred had a fantastic season last season and is one of our best players, we are hoping to have him for the next six weeks. It’s his first game this year and we have really missed him while he has been at university.”
The last time the two sides locked horns was on the opening day of the campaign, with Cattistock storming to a convincing 77-run victory.
Baker added: “We were a bit weak for the opening game but we have a stronger bowling attack now with lots of options and hopefully we can restrict them.
“It will be a tough game away from home against them, but hopefully we can put in a much better performance.”
Meanwhile, Duane Gay will take over the captaincy for Bridport tomorrow when they travel to Christchurch Seconds (1.30pm) in Division Three.
