WEYMOUTH Reserves hold their second Family Fun Day at the Famous Old Spa tomorrow to raise funds for Jake Richmond’s squad.

Last year’s inaugural event at the Weymouth pub on Dorchester Road proved to be a massive success, with close to £1,000 being raised for the Terras’ second string.

The action starts at noon and goes on until around midnight, moving from outdoors to inside at 6pm for a Race Night – the pub will also be showing the World Cup football throughout.

Attractions include a penalty shoot-out, bouncy castle, face painting and barbecue, while featuring among the raffle prizes are a set of women’s golf clubs, a shirt signed by the Wales team and tickets to a Terras’ home fixture.

“It’s about getting as many people to the Spa as we can and raising money for the reserves,” said boss Richmond.

“All that we raise goes directly to the reserves and is spent on training equipment and any piece of technology that we feel could help us developing players.

“Hopefully it will be a good day out and it’s all geared towards families having a bit of fun.”
