DIVISION One joint leaders Cattistock are now the only side left in the league with a 100 per cent record.

They took their winning run to four from four with a five-wicket victory over Charlton Down.

Bradley Damen finished with figures of 3-9 as Charlton Down made 134-7, 82 of which came from the bat of Ed Elliott-Square.

And it was Damen who played a key role in Cattistock’s reply, his 28 not out proving crucial to the hosts’ success.

St George’s, also on eight points alongside Cattistock, got the better of Dewlish in a match that turned into a battle between Matt King and Quenton Miller.

Dewlish’s Miller scored 27 and took 5-24 but Saints’ King, with 25 and 3-17, ended up on the winning team.

There was some joy for Dewlish, however, as they overcame Bere Regis, who also lost to Charlton Down but beat Martinstown.

Snookes Pirates, top of Division Two, had been the one other side to boast a flawless record before the latest round of fixtures.

However, they suffered defeat for the first time this season when losing to Hazelbury Bryan by seven wickets.

Michael Irrgang blasted an unbeaten 64 in the Pirates’ 150-2, but Paddy Needham replied in kind with 63 not out as Bryan secured their fifth victory of the campaign.

Also in the second division, Frampton gained ground on the Pirates with a comfortable win over Puddletown.

A half-century from Gary Littlechild was countered by a couple of wickets for Nigel Brown in a Puddletown total of 137-5.

But Pete Horne’s 65 not out proved too hot to handle for the visitors and Frampton won by eight wickets.

George Chubb’s 55 inspired Plush to a 23-run triumph against Abbotsbury in a contest between the bottom two.

Winfrith clinched just their second two points of the summer in Division Three, Puddletown RFC their victims.

And there were also victories for Puddletown Reserves and joint leaders Cattistock Sec-onds, Richard Fagence taking 3-7 for them against Charlton Down Seconds.
