RICH Runyard and Chris Lamb return to boost Beaminster’s batting for the Division Two strugglers’ derby at Dorchester Seconds tomorrow (1.30pm).

Rob Meech and Murray Legg are the players missing out this weekend as Beaminster bid to bounce back from last Saturday’s defeat to Stalbridge Seconds.

In Dorchester, they meet a side with four consecutive victories under their belts, the most recent coming against league leaders Cattistock.

Beaminster team manager Ross Baker is desperate for his side to start picking up wins as they try to move away from the bottom of the table.

“We need to step it up a little bit,” he said. “It hasn’t helped that we’ve had players coming in and out of the team but we’ve got Rich and Chris back.

“We got into a really good position against Stalbridge but we didn’t take the chances they gave us and dropped four catches in the field.

“Dorchester is a big game for us and they’ll be confident after beating Cattistock.”

Cattistock go to Cerne Valley and Portland Red Tri-angle travel to take on Bournemouth Thirds in the same division.

In Division Three, Bridport have a full complement for their home showdown with second-placed Wareham.

Chasing a fourth successive victory, Bridport welcome back Sam Challis and Mark Cope, while Ed Halson is the man to miss out from the team that beat Pimperne last Saturday.

Portland Red Triangle Seconds could do with a win after a hat-trick of defeats, but they may find it tough when Division Four leaders Shillingstone Seconds visit Reforne. Abbotsbury host Corfe Mullen Seconds.

The bottom two in Division Six meet at the Memorial Playing Fields as Beaminster Seconds entertain Blandford Thirds.
