RICHMOND Soccer School is a new and exciting opportunity for children to enjoy football this summer.

The idea of the scheme, for youngsters in school Years Three to Six (ages seven to 11), is to give sporting opportunities to children during the holidays and the chance to meet new people.

The soccer school will involve a range of exciting games and activities throughout the day including quizzes, team-building activities and mini football matches.

Children will be taught skills such as dribbling, passing, running with the ball and scoring goals.

They will also be awarded certificates to mark their achievements and youngsters of all abilities are welcome.

The man behind the venture, Ben Richmond, pictured, feels the school will be able to help develop children’s football skills from an early age.

Richmond is now assistant-manager of Weymouth Under-18s and coaches Weymouth Reserves.

He is FA Level Two qualified, holds a Level One qualification in coaching children with disabilities, is CRB- checked, insured and first aid trained.

Richmond Soccer School will be held at All Saints School in Wyke Regis on weekdays starting Tuesday, July 29 until Friday, August 29 from 8.30am to 3.30pm.

The venue has all the facilities to meet children’s needs and the sessions cost £10 per day.

Special offers are available for those who want to book their children in for four days or more.

Those attending are asked to bring a packed lunch and plenty of water, and wear appropriate clothing.

A limited number of spaces are available per day so book now to avoid disappointment.
