WILL Agbo has become Dorchester Town’s latest summer signing after joining the club on a one-year deal.

The ex-Yeovil Town midfielder impressed with a brace against Bridport last Tuesday and stood out during the Magpies’ 4-1 victory over Willand Rovers at the weekend.

Agbo, 20, put pen to paper on Saturday night, making him Dorchester’s second new recruit in less than seven days following the arrival of Ryan Woodford.

“Will is a holding midfield player who plays that position very well,” said Magpies’ boss Phil Simkin.

“He gets forward and has attempts on goal as well, and you can see that he has been at a pro club.

“He and Jamie Gleeson will be an excellent pairing in midfield, as they showed at Bridport last week.”

Simkin added: “I spoke to Will at the beginning of the summer and he wasn’t sure if he was going back to London or not.

“I was delighted to find he was still available because we were looking for someone in his position.”

Agbo is the latest player to join the Magpies in time for the start of the new campaign on August 9.

Woodford, Dan Cann, Ben Joyce and Dan Smith had already committed themselves to the club for the next 12 months before Agbo also signed on the dotted line.
