A NEW boxing set-up in Weymouth is offering people the chance to get more involved in the fight game.

Martin Fojt’s Grey Ranks boxing crew, based at Weymouth ABC, already has around 20 members.

Some are forging careers in amateur boxing while others use the sport to get fit and boost their self-esteem.

Grey Ranks, sponsored by Weymouth Polish shop Belweder, train on Wednes-days (8pm), Fridays (6pm) and Sundays (11am).

And Fojt, a successful former heavyweight himself, is keen to increase his crew’s membership.

“We are always looking for more people to join,” he said. “Most people come to get in shape and to build their confidence.

“We’ve also got senior boxers who are preparing for ABA championships and the Weymouth boxing show in November.”

Grey Ranks was introduced to the local boxing fraternity at the Hotel Rembrandt.

And members were made to look the part with hoodies and T-shirts provided by sponsors Belweder.
