Snooker & billiards: West Dorset are baize champions

THE Dorchester & District Snooker & Billiards League held its Annual General Meeting at the Colliton Club.

As part of the proceedings, Mike Halford, from league sponsors M&M Commercials, presented the trophies for the 2013-2014 snooker and billiards seasons.

West Dorset Club A were crowned snooker kings after winning the Premier League, while Colliton XQ 2014 landed the billiards title.

* The new snooker season, which will again be sponsored by M & M Commercials, will start on Monday, September 22.

The billiards season, based upon two-man teams, will also be run again following the snooker campaign.
