DORCHESTER captain Dan Belt is searching for a stand-out performer tomorrow, as his side head into a contest which could define their season at Bere Regis (1pm).

The county town skipper is looking for someone to put in a heroic display to ensure his side are still well in the hunt to claim the Premier One crown, a win this weekend could see Dorchester regain the top spot if leaders Sherborne slip up at fellow title hopefuls Martinstown.

“We need to try and bounce back from last week and keep ourselves in with a chance of winning the league,” Belt told Echosport.

“It’s just a case of some- one being selfish and being a hero for the team to win us the game.

“In the games we have lost we haven’t had that person to stand out and win the game for us and that is all we have lacked.

“Obviously we would like Martinstown to get a win and ourselves to get a win to hopefully put us back on top by a couple of points, we just have to worry about ourselves and try and perform.”

Fergus Guppy and Greg Holl-and are set to drop out of the side in place of Will Caldwell and Stuart Beasley.

Speaking about all-rounder Caldwell, Belt added: “The games he has played in he has been outstanding so it is a huge boost for him to come back in the team.”

Elsewhere, Beaminster finish their campaign at Wimborne & Colehill Thirds in County Divi-sion Two.

Bridport host Broadstone Thirds in Division Three, while Charlton Down are looking to secure the league title in Division Five when they host local rivals Puddletown.
