TOP instructor James Rousseau hosted a martial arts masterclass for Wessex Karate Academy students in Weymouth.
Sensei Rousseau, a 9th Dan and one of the founders of go-ju ryu karate in Europe, held two seminars at the Wessex Traditional Martial Arts gym.
The academy’s black belts and junior belts got the chance to learn from a legend of the sport, who travelled from Birmingham to take the classes in the seaside town.
Some 60 students took part in the sessions and also in attendance was Pete Thompson, the 5th Dan black belt who runs the gym, the first full-time karate dojo in the country, which is part of the GKI (Go-Ju Ryu Karate-do Internatio-nal).
