SKIPPER Stewart Yetton believes the Terras will be fired up for their FA Trophy trip to Burnham tonight (7.45pm) and is confident his side can book their place in the final qualifying round.

A home date with Ryman North Division outfit Cray Wanderers on November 29 is the prize for the winners of the replay at the Gore tonight, after the sides fought out a stagnant 0-0 draw at the Bob Lucas Stadium on Saturday.

Chris McPhee, who missed Saturday’s clash, now looks set for a spell on the sidelines with a foot injury that is likely to keep him out for between two and six weeks.

Tim Sills also goes for a scan on his knee before tonight’s game, and Tristan Plummer is struggling with an ankle problem. But Weymouth talisman Yetton is adamant that if the Terras recapture their fluidity, they have a strong chance of overcoming the Blues.

“After Saturday we were all really disappointed, we didn’t get the result and we didn’t play very well. We just huffed and puffed a bit and didn’t really play our normal type of game,” he told Echosport.

“We won’t go there sulking about it, that’s the punishment you get if you don’t play well in the cup games. We need to learn from that and we have to go there and set the record straight. “A lot of the lads are ex-professionals so they know exactly what it takes for them to get up for a game. I’ll be getting them geed up anyway but I know those lads and I know they pride themselves on their performances.

“We will be as positive as we can be tonight and hopefully we will come home with a victory.”

In what Yetton admits was a tame Weymouth display last time out, he insists that Burnham still have a lot to learn about the Terras, as the sides are set to lock horns twice more in league and cup exploits over the next five days.

He added: “They (Burnham) were very robust and they defended stoutly but I think we made it too easy for them at times. The quality of our final ball wasn’t good enough in the final third and we played into their hands a little bit.

“I think we learnt a lot about them but they didn’t learn that much about us, they have probably played to their full potential but we slightly underperformed.”

Should the deadly striker find the net in tonight’s clash, he will maintain his record of scoring in every round of the FA Cup and FA Trophy the Terras’ have been involved in this term.
