FANS of Dorchester Town could get the chance to deliver their own pre-match team talk to the Magpies’ players.

County town boss Graham Kemp has told Echosport he is keen to give supporters of the club an opportunity to rouse the squad before a game.

Kemp’s proposal comes after he took part in his first fans’ forum at the Avenue on Monday night – one which he felt gave him a lot of food for thought.

His words will be the last the Dorchester players hear prior to today’s home encounter with Corby Town (3pm), but he is interested in offering the Magpies’ faithful a hands-on experience further down the line.

“The forum was beneficial for me and I hope it was good for the fans,” said Kemp.

“Everyone has got something to offer and sometimes something worthwhile can come out of a chat.

“I hope they can see where I’m coming from now and realise the chairman can’t give me x amount of pounds to get us out of trouble.

“All of the fans want what’s best for the club and I’m hoping to get one or two in the changing rooms to give a pre-match team talk at some point – that should be an eye-opener for the players.”
