WEYMOUTH have announced a friendly fixture at the Bob Lucas Stadium on Thursday against Hamworthy United (7.45pm).

The Terras, who are not scheduled to feature in league action until Easter Monday, will lock horns with the Hammers, now managed by former Weymouth coach Shane Traynor.

And manager Jason Matthews revealed to Echosport that his entire first-team squad will be expected to take to the field against the Wessex League outfit.

He said: “It gives us a chance to work on a few things.

“Shane has been good enough to agree to bring up a side and with the suspension of Tim Sills and Dean Evans, some people will need game time.

“It would have been a lengthy spell without a game since last Saturday and I didn’t want to go that long without a game.

“Every first-team player should be involved with it.”

Ticket prices have been set by the club at £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for under-16s.

The relationship between the County Ground side and the Terras has been a good one since Traynor took the Hammers’ hot seat permanently in January.

Weymouth youngsters Jamie West and Conor Jevon have both turned out for Hamworthy on dual registration terms this season.
