MOTOCROSS star Tristan Daniels has shown some great form this season, with a number of race wins to his name already.

Last season saw the young Dorchester rider claim fifth place in the Ringwood MXC Championship, while he also finished a very creditable 12th in the Weston-super-Mare Beach Race.

Competing in championships with both Ringwood MXC and Poole & Parkstone MXC this season, the 10-year-old has now attracted a number of sponsors.

Stuart and Robert Downton (S and R Downton Building Contractors of Dorchester) have very kindly provided two race kits for the speedster.

Paul and Cate Hewitt at Falcon Signs in Yeovil also wanted to get involved and have printed the sponsor details, the youngster's name and race number onto his shirts.

John Loving Brickwork of Dorchester are helping out with support towards fuel and oils.

Tristan’s dad Stuart said: “We really want to say a huge thank you to all of the sponsors. Racing means everything to Tristan and he has worked hard over the winter and early part of the season to develop his skills.”

“The support these guys have all given is invaluable but the confidence that it also brings cannot be underestimated.

"Tristan’s younger sister Eleanor is now starting out and I think this has also helped.

"He is passing on his knowledge and skills to her and that reminds him just how much and how far he has come since first getting on a bike at four years old.

"His grandad, Carl Robinson, is competing at both clubs as well and they have a rivalry to see who has the best results over the season.

"We would like to thank Stuart and Robert Downton, Paul and Cate Hewitt, John Loving, Lewis Trickett, Mandy and Carl Robinson, Dorchester Middle School and mechanic Alan Coles."

The county town ace is being coached by Lewis Trickett of the MBO Power Asa Scaffolding Yamaha team, a young pro rider who started his career with the Ringwood club.
