BRIDPORT will be looking to put an end to a run of four games without a win in all competitions when they host Clevedon Town in league action at St Mary’s Field tomorrow (3pm).

The Bees, who have crashed out of the FA Vase, Dorset Senior Cup and the Les Phillips Cup since the end of October, take on a Clevedon side that have won three out of their last four league games – their only league victories of the season so far.

Before that, tomorrow’s visitors went on a turbulent run of 14 games without a win in all competitions, including 13 defeats.

“We need to win really,” said Bees’ boss Trevor Senior.

“The lads came off the pitch against Shepton Mallet and they weren’t downbeat even though we lost the game.”

Bridport currently lie 13th in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division having played fewer fixtures than any other club so far, with five wins coming from 11 outings.

And Senior is hopeful that his troops will propel themselves up the table by getting back to winning ways.

“We have two home games now and we need to take advantage of them,” he added. “They are two games that we have in hand that we want to try and get maximum points from.

“We just need to get on a run like we have done before because we have a difficult December coming up.”

The St Mary’s Field side are hoping to have Chris Senior and Sam Buckler back in their squad, while Darren Watts is unavailable.
