INTERIM boss Mark Carter is looking for Bridport to build on their victory over Bradford Town on Tuesday, when they host Shepton Mallet at St Mary’s Field tomorrow (3pm).

The Bees got only their second win of 2016 in a 3-1 triumph in midweek, ending a run of six straight defeats in the process.

And Carter is looking for more of the same from his side against Mallet, who knocked Bridport out of the Les Phillips Cup and beat them in the league earlier this term.

“I said to the players we have to build on the win now and not just make it a one-game wonder,” Carter told Echosport.

“We have to go out there and show exactly the same fight and determination as we have done and hopefully keep things going.

“We have played them (Shepton Mallet) twice this year and they have both been close games.

“I fancy our chances but, obviously, it’s a case of consistency now and doing the same again as we did on Tuesday night.”

Tom Richardson is expected to return after missing out in midweek through work commitments but Chris Clarke is still suspended.

Carter also revealed that the Bees may be losing Shane Evans, as he has also registered to play for Bemerton Heath Harlequins under former Dorchester Town boss Graham Kemp, in the Wessex League.

“He has now moved up there and literally lives next to the ground,” Carter added, when speaking about Evans.

“I know he has been speaking to Kempy about possibly playing a few games.”
