DORCHESTER Town have announced that Simon Evans has stepped down from the position as reserve team manager at the club.

Evans, who succeeded Simon Browne as the manager of the Magpies' second XI in December last year, guided the county town side to fifth place in the Wyvern Premier Division last season.

A statement on the club’s website announcing his departure said: “Simon Evans has announced he is stepping down from his position as reserve team manager citing added work commitments behind his decision.

"The club wishes to put on record our sincere thanks to Simon for the hard work and commitment he has done for both the club and the reserve team and hopes he is able to remain involved in some capacity within the club."
