IT WAS the high scoring Weymouth duo Pat Crane and John Northover who romped home in the Weymouth Golf Club Seniors 4BBB Spring Open, with a score of 46 points, two points ahead of their nearest rivals G Hayes and G Robinson (Weymouth).
In third place with a score of 43 was D Llewellyn (The Dorset) and R Cocksey (Weymouth).
The seniors' team two, captained by Lenny Harris won against Sherborne at home 15-4.
The Captain’s Charity Scramble was won by Paul Dagger.
The Beckford Bowl team took on Haling Island in the Prestige Scratch Knockout event and won with an overall score 7.5-4.5.
Steve Cook won the May Medal with a nett 67, beating C Johnson by a single shot.
The Bank Holiday Competition was won by Callum Doughty, Tony Ferguson and Brendon Kelly.
The young talented Sam Trot won 'The Tankard' in Division One with a gross score of 74 (nett 65). Graham Vile won Division Two with a nett 66 and Ryan Entwistle won Division Three with a nett 65
Ladies' Results
The Peugeot LGU Coronation Foursomes winners were Sharon Rand and Sue Stroudley with 32 points, they go forward to represent the club in the area final at Purbeck in July.
Ladies Medal competition winner Di Loving (nett 73) won on count back from Denise Duce.
Beales team played against Wareham winning 4-3 and against Knighton Heath winning 5-2.
Stableford result: Division One: Gill Corbin – 28 points.
Division Two: Jean Vile – 28 points
Divisiong Three: Di Timms – 34 points, and a handicap reduction
Young Molly Kington once again demonstrating her golfing skills by winning her match against The Dorset Girls vs Seniors with her partner.
The Dorset Girls won 5-0.
