FORMER All Saints School pupil Amber Davies has again been selected to represent England under-19s in the 2016 Northern European Zonal Association Championships (NEVZA).

This year’s event will be held in Kettering at the Volleyball England National Centre this weekend.

As well as hosts England, Sweden, Iceland, Denmark, Norway and the Faroe Islands are all entered to take part.

Davies, who met up with her England team-mates for a five-day holding camp on Sunday, made her England debut in the same event last year in Ikast, Denmark.

Since then, the youngster has also represented her country in the Central European Championships in Georgia. The 18-year-old is now at Sheffield University studying architecture, and plays her volleyball for Sheffield Hallam in National League Division Two North.

She began training with the Volleyball England junior squad in November 2014 and finished the 2015/16 indoor season winning both the Volleyball England under-18 National Cup final and National Grand Prix final, representing THE LeAF Academy.
