WEYMOUTH & Portland will be looking for a maximum return when they host league basement boys Sherborne Seconds at Monmouth Avenue tomorrow (2.15pm).

The visitors have only managed to record one league win all season, but Seasiders’ first-team manager Vaughan Carter but will not be taking their lowly opposition lightly.

He said: “There is no place for complacency and hopefully, we have now ended our mid-season blip that saw us lose six games on the bounce.

“After winning away at Bournemouth a fortnight ago and at Salisbury last Saturday, team morale has risen and we don’t want to return to the bad old days.

“Our performance at Salisbury was as good as any we have produced this season, so we want to carry on from where we left off seven days ago”

Weymouth & Portland: Comben, Wildman, Leatham, Drummond, Bowditch, Allan, Llewellyn, Young, Billington, Davies, Murphy, Davis, Simler, C Lewendon, R Lewendon, Hayne, Melhuish.

n A minute’s silence will be observed before the game kicks off in memory of former first-team captain Julian Quick, who sadly passed away two weeks ago after his long battle with cancer.

The Seasiders’ Second XV visit league leaders Dinton in Dorset & Wilts Three South.
