WEYMOUTH captain Simon Browne has called for his side to “keep the momentum going” as they welcome Parley to Redlands in County Division One tomorrow (1.30pm).
Following wins against Hamworthy Recreation and Cattistock, the Seasiders, who currently sit third in the table, are aiming for three wins on the trot.
Browne said: “It would be good to keep that momentum going and try to make it three. It’s about us getting a good result and enjoying our cricket. Saturday was a great win for us.”
Weymouth batsman Paul Payne returns to the side this weekend, along with wicketkeeper Dave Blackman and Dom Webb, replacing the unavailable Tom England, Jack Sapsworth and Bill Gates.
“With Tom out it’s good to have a like-for-like batsman in Paul. Dave comes back in so Kieron can concentrate on his batting and Dom is back as well,” Browne told Echosport.
Parley were relegated from the Premier League last season and Browne admits he is unsure what to expect from the East Dorset outfit.
He said: “They have more of a development side now so they can be a bit of an unknown quantity. Usually they’re a strong side.
