TWENTY boys from Dorchester Tennis and Squash Club enjoyed a tour to Holland.

The county town players competed against and beat Belgian side TC de Lusthoven in Arendonk, ELTV in Eindhoven, and TC Iduna in Utrecht.

All three clubs belong to one of the top clubs in Belgium and Holland and the visitors enjoyed success against all three clubs.

The tour was organised by Michael and Kevin Willemse with the youngest player being 10 and the oldest 17.

The team trained in the mornings and evenings while playing matches during the day.

They also completed a fitness session in the sand dunes which took place in the Drunense Duinen.

On the Wednesday, the boys had training sessions with former professional tennis player Sjeng Schalken, winner of nine ATP titles and a semi-finalist at the US Open.

He was accompanied by Mike Simon, a former national champion.

Kevin Willemse said: I would like to thank Lee Ford, from Vision Independent Financial Planning, for being the tour sponsor.

He also sponsored the uniform and clinic with Sjeng Schalken.

"I would also like to thank Paul Scott for sponsoring the tennis clinic with Sjeng Schalken."
