DORCHESTER Town striker Rory Fallon has announced his retirement from professional football.
The move comes after he went away on international duty with New Zealand, where the All Whites suffered a 2-0 defeat to Peru in the final World Cup qualifying round.
Fallon last played for the Magpies in a 2-1 win over Basingstoke Town in the second qualifying round of the Buildbase FA Trophy.
In a statement Fallon said that he had two dreams: to have a long playing career and to reach a World Cup Finals.
Fallon said: "I’m blessed to have achieved both. It would have been amazing to have reached another World Cup in Russia, but Peru were the better team on the final leg in Lima.
He added: "The football journey has been epic and I thank everybody that has shared it with me. I’ve made many great memories and friends. Now onto the next chapter."
