WEYMOUTH manager Mark Molesley is looking forward Weymouth’s tough challenge as they prepare to travel to top-of-the-table King’s Lynn Town tomorrow (3pm).

The Terras are currently fourth in the table with 56 points but face the Linnets who are three points and three places ahead having played the same number of

games.

Molesley said: “I think we had a good performance at the weekend away from home (against Stratford).

“We were disappointed to not take all three points so we are looking forward to what is going to be a very big challenge.”

The last time the two sides met in the league it ended in a 3-1 win for the Terras thanks to a brace from Brandon Goodship and a goal from Charlie Davis.

Molesley praised the Terras’ opponents tomorrow as he said: “King’s Lynn sit at the top of the table, I was very impressed with them when they came down to our place and I have had nothing but good reports on them since.

“We are going to have our work cut out, it is going to be a really tough game but it is a challenge we are looking forward to.”

When asked if he feels it is a chance to close the gap on the Linnets, Molesley said: “If we can go there and perform to the best of our ability then I am sure we are

“capable of getting the three points.

“The emphasis is probably going to be on them, they are the home team. We are going to have to go there, match them and be at our best.”

Molesley dismissed any idea that the pressure would be solely on the home side saying: “I think there is probably pressure on both teams at this stage of the season, I would not say the pressure is on them. They are ahead of us, we are the ones chasing them.”

“It should be an exciting game.”

The Terras have had three draws in their past four league games, with a 4-0 thrashing of Gosport during that run.

When asked how the players are feeling Molesley said: “Obviously we have had a couple of frustrating draws lately but I think on the whole the squad is really positive.

“We are going to look to try and build on our form, we are unbeaten in nine games so we are looking to continue that and take the fight to King’s Lynn.”

Molesley said there are a couple of knocks and bruises but Jake McCarthy is nearing being ready fully for selection to start.

For Mark Cooper it will be a case of wait and see after missing the last two games after exacerbating a knock against Larkhall.
