DORCHESTER head to Bestwall to lock horns with Swanage & Wareham Seconds tomorrow in Wadworth 6X Dorset & Wilts One South (2.15pm).

The Coburg Road outfit, who top the league, dispatched the Swans 62-0 in the reverse fixture back in September, and coming off a great performance against North Dorset they will look to come away with the full five points available from the game.

Coach Ben Parker is aware that the Swans will pose a different challenge at home and has been working on the squad’s strengths from recent performances.

He said: “With another tough selection to make and missing a training session due to the weather is has not been easy but the team are in a strong position still despite some small squad changes.”

Joe Underhill returns to the front row, and after a number of years away from the game, Liam Kershaw is back as hooker following a return to the club and some strong performances in the A XV.

Tom Bradbury remains at scrum-half after another man-of-the-match performance again last week.

George Foot drops to the bench to make way for Jamie Morgan on the wing with Alan Gale and Andy McCreedy returning to the squad on the bench also.

Both Callum King and James Baker scored three tries apiece last weekend and are in good finishing form.

They will both be looking to get their names on the scoresheet again this week.

Club captain James Newsam and Steve Tucker will be looking to run at the Swans’ backs with their trademark ball carrying game.

Weymouth & Portland will be hoping to lift themselves off the bottom of the table when they host Bridport in a crunch derby at Monmouth Avenue (3pm).

The Seahorses were comprehensively beaten 55-0 by Wimborne Seconds last week, while Bridport lost out to Swanage & Wareham Seconds.

The Blues won 28-25 back in September when the sides met at the Brewery Ground.

Weymouth were boosted with a great debut from Francesco Orlacchio on the wing last weekend with coach Simon Litster heaping praise on the 17-year-old.

Meanwhile, Dorchester’s A XV welcome Sherborne Seconds back to Coburg Road in Dorset & Wilts Two South, and will look to avenge the narrow Dorset & Wilts Shield defeat at the beginning of the month.

Rob Parker’s men are hungry for the victory and have been training hard to continue the side’s run of good league form and climb the table.

They look to be the team to break Sherborne’s unbeaten run.

The Third XV Gladiators travel to Fordingbridge in Dorset & Wilts Three South action, with captain Nick Hodge keen to get back to winning ways.

This Sunday at Coburg Road, the junior section have the under-15s and under-16s entertaining Bournemouth and the Colts run out against Salisbury at 2pm.
