PUDDLETOWN visit Berkshire today (Saturday) to play Aldermaston in the RFU Junior Vase Southern Counties semi-final, after qualifying for this game with their extra time win in the corresponding Dorset and Wilts Final against Amesbury.

Puddletown are excited for the game as the playing squad has excelled this year under the helm of club coaches Sam Cload and Paul Newbury and are growing as a team.

The club have had their last two matches' postponed but players have still turned out to train instead as, with the competition culminating in a national final at Twickenham, they do not want their cup run to end.

Aldermaston represent an unknown quantity to Puddletown as they have not played them for 20 years and the club are performing well this year sitting third in their division and be a tough opposition and Puddletown will not underestimate their opponents.

Selection of the final squad for the game has been tough with the competition for places the club has and the inevitable disappointment of players who have not made the cut, but those not who have not made the cut will travel to support their team mates.

A coach for players and supporters will be leaving Top O’ Town Car Park in Dorchester at 10am.
