Steve White 6-2 6-4 Clive Stow

STEVE White climbed to the top of the Jurassic Tennis Singles Tennis ladder with a composed 6-2 6-4 victory over Clive Stow.

The match was played in a very competitive spirit with White playing the more consistent, patient game.

In the first set Stow was quite keen to get to the net and tried to volley to win points but made too many errors and White's accurate passing and lobbing meant that Stow could only manage to win two games as White took the first set 6-2.

In the second set Stow managed to play in a more composed, thoughtful manner and only attacked when after a good serve or a composed a solid approach shot which put White under pressure.

However, in the ninth game my serve deserted Stow and Whire served out the set with some accurate shots to secure the set and match by 6-4 to put White at the top of the ladder.
